Christmas Market in Prague

Prague Christmas market is the greatest market in the Czech Republic. We can found several markets in Prague but the most important are in Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square. These markets will run from 28th November 2015.

Market in Old Town Square

The Christmas market in Old Town Square (Staroměstské náměstí) will begin on 28th November and will end on 1st January 2016. The Christmas tree will be ceremonially lighted on 28th November (this year it was cancelled). Every day will be opened from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

Market in Wenceslas Square

The Christmas market in Wenceslas Square (Václavské náměstí) will begin also on 28th November and will be closed on 1st January 2016. Every day will be opened from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

What can you buy there?

Many sellers in wooden huts offer toys, jewellery, candles, decorations, sweets, punch, wine, cakes, "trdelnik" (Czech Christmas speciality), gifts and other interesting things.

Where can you find these markets?

As it was meant the markets are in Old Town and Wenceslas Square in the centre of Prague. You can get there by subway "A" (Staroměstská => Old Town Square) A or B (Můstek => Wenceslav Square). If you are travelling by train you can go on foot.
